ブルゴーニュ最高峰の白ワインを醸す大御所ドメーヌ ルフレーヴ Leflaive 全ブルゴーニュの白ワインにおいて最高の造り手といっても過言ではない、ピュリニー・モンラッシェの至宝、ドメーヌ・ルフレーヴ。ワインを造っている歴史だけを辿れば500年の歴史を持ち、設立からおよそ200年の歴史を持つ名門ドメーヌです。100年前から、既に優良生産者として認められており、イギリスで最も権威のあるワイン評価雑誌『デキャンタ』（2006年7月号）にて、「白ワインの世界10大生産者」の栄えある第1位に輝くなど、その実力は世界中で認められています。 ドメーヌ・ルフレーヴは、1717年にジョゼフ・ルフレーヴが設立。名声を不動のものとしたのは息子のヴァンサン氏とジョー氏です。ジョー氏の死後は、彼の息子であるオリヴィエ氏が代わりを務めました。1990年からヴァンサン氏の娘アンヌ・クロード・ルフレーヴ氏が参画。現在は、オリヴィエ氏とアンヌ・クロード氏の甥にあたるブリス・ド・ラ・モランディエール氏が、ドメーヌの発展を牽引しています。 ブドウの可能性を最大限に引き出すビオディナミ ルフレーヴで特筆すべきことはビオディナミによるブドウ栽培です。今でこそ、農薬の使用を控えたりブドウの生産量を抑えるなどテロワールを重視する生産者がほとんどですが、ルフレーヴが有機農法でブドウ栽培を始めた頃は、ブドウの生産量を抑えるという方法が全く良しとされない時代。そんな中、前当主のアンヌ・クロード・ルフレーヴ氏が1990年にビオディナミ農法を採用。1997年には全ての畑で実践し、ブルゴーニュの地においてビオディナミの先駆的存在となりました。ビオディナミ農法を採用することで微生物が畑の土を柔らかくし、ブドウ樹が地中深くまで根を下せることによって、その土地ならではの味わい、テロワールを表現できるようになりました。 ブルゴーニュ愛飲家に愛される極上白ワイン ルフレーヴのワインはいずれのクリマもテロワールをありのままに表現したもので、過熟感や過剰な樽香とは無縁なスタイルをとります。ムルソー・スー・ル・ド・ダーヌやピュリニィ・モンラッシェのクラヴォワィヨンのように比較的若いうちから楽しめるクリマもありますが、ピュセルやシュヴァリエ・モンラッシェは、鋼のように強靭なミネラルが落ち着くまでに長い年月を要します。しかしながら待てば待った分だけいざ開けた時の感動は大きく、この感動が世のルフレーヴ・マニアを虜にして離さないのです。 ルフレーヴのラインナップ ルフレーヴはピュリニー・モンラッシェに約25haものブドウ畑を所要する大ドメーヌです。その大部分を占めるのがグラン・クリュ、プルミエ・クリュ。プルミエクリュのクラヴォワィヨンにおいては、クリマの総面積5.6ha中じつに約4.8haを所有する半ば独占状態です。グランクリュのシュヴァリエ・モンラッシェにおいても1ドメーヌの所有面積としては2番目に大きい、7.4haのうち2haを所有。このシュヴァリエ・モンラッシェの評価があまりに高いため、「ルフレーヴにモンラッシェは必要なし」と言われていましたが、1991年、ついにモンラッシェを入手。面積は約0.08haに過ぎず、毎年1樽造るのがやっとの希少さです。また2004年にはコート・ド・ボーヌの南に位置するマコネ地区に9.33haの畑を取得し、マコン・ヴェルゼとして醸造をスタート。入手の難しいルフレーヴのラインナップの中でも比較的生産量が多く価格も手頃なため、人気のアイテムとなっています。2020年にはオート・コート・ド・ボーヌの区画を取得。新たな植栽を行うなど今後の注目も高まります。
